I like: Aimee Mann, Edinburgh, St Andrews, wee music festivals, Radiohead, Calexico, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Chris Brookmyre, Colin Bateman, Zoolander, The Shins, Martha Wainwright, Audrey Hepburn, Neko Case and Elvis Presley.
I dislike: faux people. You know who you are. And sweetcorn.
I also like seeing bands who are unexpectedly ace. I've lived in Edinburgh for twenty years, with a four-year hiatus to get a degree in Mediaeval History at St Andrews, a great place which is much maligned. If you can't avoid the yahs there, you aren't trying hard enough.
